RINO ALERT: “GOP” Representatives Urge Trump To Keep DACA

Published

on

Today’s RINO ALERT calls out six GOP Representatives who decided to go out of their way and send a letter to President Trump urging him to keep the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program alive.

The statement was sent out by Representative Daniel Donovan of New York, Representative Don Bacon of Nebraska, Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Carlos Curbelo from Florida, along with Representatives Jeff Denham and David Valadao from California.

Daniel Donovan has previously written an op-ed for none other than The Washington Post defending illegal immigrants and claiming they pay an “estimated $11.74 billion” in taxes every year. Donovan also said that he was “inspired” by what the Pope said about immigration and Syrian immigrants to Congress.

The biggest RINO in Florida: Ileana Ros-Lehtinen

Luckily Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida, a heavy Trump critic, is going to be retiring once her term is up next year.

Politico has previously described Ros-Lehtinen as “[one] of President Donald Trump’s biggest Republican critics in Congress.” Ros-Lehtinen is a particularly entrenched swamp creature – having been in Congress since 1989.

Politico also quoted Ros-Lehtinen as being against the travel ban:

“I object to the suspension of visas from the seven named countries because we could have accomplished our objective of keeping our homeland safe by immediate implementation of more thorough screening procedures,”

Second biggest RINO in Florida? Carlos Curbelo.

Carlos Curbelo, who recently tried to keep DACA intact by amending a spending bill, is constantly undermining Trump. In the past, Curbelo has actually gone on television claiming Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller are part of the alt-right and that Trump shouldn’t listen to them. Now, he’s one of the six people that signed a letter to President Trump urging him to keep DACA around.

Watch Carlos Curbelo say that Trump shouldn’t listen to Steve Bannon or Stephen Miller anymore:

Now, this little stampede of RINOs has gotten together and begged Trump to keep DACA around.

Reaction to the RINO parade has been swift and harsh.

Bombshell: Imran Awan Allegedly Threatened, Abused At Least 3 Women

Published

on

In an article posted by The Daily Caller yesterday, the news site linked to Fairfax County Police reports obtained under Virginia’s freedom of information act. The reports indicate a number of disturbing details about Imran Awan, the recently indicted former IT aid for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

At least three woman are officially are listed in the reports as having alleged physical abuse by Awan. The first alleged victim stated “I just wanted to leave.”

The second indicated she felt like a “slave.”

“The third woman is Awan’s stepmother, Samina Gilani, who said in court documents that Awan invoked his authority as a congressional employee to intimidate immigrant women, in part by telling them he had the power to have people kidnapped,” The Daily Caller reports.

Here is the investigation report from the FCPD. The Daily Caller continued “Neither of the other two women who complained are married to Awan, though both were apparently in relationships with him. Awan’s wife, Hina Alvi, worked as an IT aide for dozens of members of Congress, including Wasserman Schultz. The two women who called the police both lived in the same Alexandria, Va., complex but in different apartments for which Imran paid.”

The second reported incident took place in July of 2016.

This report has the victim listed as a female named Samara Sidique. In the narrative the responding investigator stated that Ms. Sidique reported that she felt “like a slave to this man.”

Sidique also requested information on how to obtain a restraining order against Awan.

Police had responded to altercations between Sidique and Awan reportedly three times in less than 12 months, once finding “small cut[s] on stomach and arm.”

The third incident was reported in this court document and congruent third police report filed in April of 2017 Gilani Samina,

“Imran Awan showed up and threatened me for calling the police. Mr. Shahid Imran Awan threatened that he is very powerful and if I ever call the police [he] will do harm to me and my family members back in Pakistan and one of my cousins here in Baltimore.”

Given the current legal trouble for Imran Awan and the scandals within the DNC, the situation doesn’t look good at all for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Report: Israel’s Wall Is 100% Effective At Keeping Away Outsiders

Published

on

President Trump has often used Israel as an example of how effective a border wall can be at keeping illegal aliens out of a country. He now has some hard data to help support that claim.

Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority released a report on Sunday, showing their southern wall to have been 100 percent effective at preventing infiltration over the last 12 months.

However, there are some notable differences between Israel and the U.S. project.

Length:

Israel’s southern wall is only 143 miles in length where the U.S. southern border spans 2000 miles and four states.

Cost:

The Wall Street Journal pegged the cost of Israel’s wall at $416 million or $2.7 million per mile. The U.S. wall would be considerably more expensive.

Geography:

Israel’s southern border is mostly open desert and easy to monitor. The U.S. border runs through some remote and rugged terrain, and contains several towns situated right along it. It would also require additional technology like sensors, drones and robots to help monitor.

Still, in 2015, only 220 illegal migrants managed to infiltrate Israel’s border with Egypt and only 18 were successful in 2016.

So it appears a wall—if properly done—can prove to be highly effective at controlling unwanted crossings.

A country also needs the political will power to enforce its immigration laws.

According to the report, over the last 12 months Israel deported 2,431 people who infiltrated the border illegally, including 2,245 Eritreans and 186 Sudanese.

Last month, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled that the state may deport illegal migrants to a third country with consent, but added that the government cannot detain those who refuse to go for more than 60 days.

Furthermore, according to the African Refugee Development Center, some 46,437 Africans have sought asylum in Israel. The majority (73 percent) are from Eritrea, and around 19% are from Sudan. Israeli authorities maintain that there are 40,000 illegal migrants in Israel, most of whom are economic illegal immigrants and not refugees seeking sanctuary

CERNOVICH: Dispatches From Trumpland Part 2 – Mike Pence, The Silent Killer

Published

on

Don’t work with any of those pro-Trump Super PACs,” a high level White Official told me, “as Pence controls them all.” Was this a legitimate scoop or D.C. intra-Trumpism rivalry? I went to find out.

As an outsider, I don’t have any friends inside the Trump administration. Sources sure, lots of those, and what the media won’t tell you is that sources are people. Sources have the same petty beefs as the rest of us, and they’ll lie and play others to get what they want. Treating sources as more than human allows us to live by the illusion that what we read in the media can be trusted, because after all, there are sources!

Mike Anton keeps his job, Heritage sells out in exchange for access to McMaster.

Mike Anton, communications director at the NSC, made a lot of promisesto the Heritage Foundation and other think tanks and media outlets during the Fire McMaster campaign launched by American nationalists and populists.

“He was one the phone with everyone,” a person who received a call from Anton, told me. “In this town, it’s all about access, and that’s what Anton promised,” the source continued.

In exchange for puff pieces Heritage and others would have access to McMaster. The ploy worked. Unprincipled propaganda pieces flowed like White House leaks from Dina Powell.

“Anton is lost,” a person involved in the Trump Transition team told me, “He completely sold out to McMaster.”

Ben Rhodes runs the NSC.

Anton was hired as part of a strategy to bring in people who understand Trump’s national security worldview. Colin Kahl and Ben Rhodes sought to oust Anton and others, labelling them the Axis of Ideologues, in contrast to the Axis of Adults.

The NSC is staffed with several Rhodes loyalists, whom McMaster has gone to great lengths to protect. McMaster held a public town hall to say there is no such thing as an Obama holdover.

Meanwhile McMaster purged anyone seen as having an “American first” foreign policy vision.

Mike Anton’s job is safe, for now anyway, although it’s up to Anton to ask whether he is dying the thousand deaths of a coward by bending the knee to McMaster.

Mike Pence, the Silent Killer.

Mike Pence, like heart disease, is a silent killer,” a high level political operative answered in my response to the pro-Trump Super PAC question. She continued, “All those Super PACs are run by Pence.”

Pence, people close to him confirm, lets others do the dirty work as he stays on the sidelines to keep his above-it-all brand. One high profile example of Pence’s style can be seen in how the Administration handled General Michael Flynn’s firing:

After Flynn apologized to Pence, the vice president seemed open to allowing Flynn to remain in place, according to a senior administration official. But Reince Priebus, Trump’s chief of staff who had also come to Flynn’s defense in January, “didn’t want to let it go,” the official added.

“People can finger Reince all they want,” someone close to Flynn told me, “But everyone knows it was Pence who wanted Flynn out.”

Freedom Caucus or Cruz Crew?

Efforts are underway by pro-Trump forces to rebrand the Freedom Caucus the Koch Caucus. Trump became frustrated with the Freedom Caucus after they refused to support Paul Ryan’s healthcare bill — which I also opposed because it was a total scam.

The Freedom Caucus is seen as being loyal to Ted Cruz rather than Trump, and it’s a great source of frustration that Trump can’t stop the Freedom Caucus.

“Trump doesn’t seem to realize that those guys,” a data analyst said in reference to the Freedom Caucus, “won every district he won in by a larger margin. Picking a fight with them is stupid.”

Of course as we’ve seen how he treats people like General Flynn, Peter Thiel, Mooch, and Bannon while rewarding and protecting never Trumper’s like Brian Hook, Nikki Haley, and Dina Power. It’s up to Trump to earn loyalty.

So…What is up with those pro-Trump super PACs?

The consensus within Trump’s inner circle is that Pence controls the Super PAC, and multiple people expressed their frustration about the Super PAC situation.

All they want to do is another ad buy to collect their 15% commission,” one person who quit doing Republican consulting out of disgust with the RNC told me, “even though everyone knows TV ads don’t work.”

My personal view is that donors who back Super PACs aren’t getting much value. Well I’ve said far worse, calling Super PAC donors “basic b-tches.”

I continually ask this question, “Why does everyone in Trumpland come to ME with their problems?” It’s great for me as a journalist to have an inside look at the West Wing and every other department in the Federal Government, but why is there no one in Trumpland to talk to Trump supporters?

Can’t one of these “pro-Trump” Super PACs set up a hotline or web page to collect information about what’s happening to the people who, at great personal and professional risk, backed Trump? Of course they can, and they haven’t.

There doesn’t appear to be any pro-Trump support infrastructure. There’s no legal support for Trump backers who are attacked for wearing a Trump hat. What are these pro-Trump groups doing?

“Trump doesn’t care about his people,” a top level GOP adviser told me in a motherly tone of voice, “and people are seeing that.”

“You may as well get while the getting is good,” her companion replied, wryly observing that, “If they money is there, take it, it’s not like Trump would know what to do with it.”

(The general disdain for Trump was a common theme of my trip to D.C., and most of my interviews were with early Trump backers.)

Trump’s general disinterest in governing Trumpland is reflected in the Super PAC failure. Not only is Trump not taking care of his people, including his Schedule C employees who only kept their jobs after I did an expose on Johnny DeStefano, he doesn’t have anyone watching his back.

I live online and haven’t seen much action from any of these pro-Trump groups. As best as I can tell, they haven’t even sent Bill Mitchell any cash. Bill annoys me but undoubtedly has a large base of Trump supporters. Why wouldn’t someone reward those efforts?

The most effective Trump messaging is coming from prominent social media accounts and online meme makers. When is the last time a pro-Trump video, produced by these rich Super PACs, went viral? At least everyone has a nice office (in some cases co-located at the RNC).

And those commissions on ad buys must be nice.
