The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has stated it will be opening an investigation into publicly available facts related to National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster’s repeated firing of pro-Israel officials in the Trump administration.
According to Breitbart, “there are many reasons to believe that ZOA may not have a favorable view of [McMaster’s] positions on Israel.”
Indeed, a number of accusations of hostility on McMaster’s part towards Israel have swirled in recent times.
Last week, Carline Glick of The Jerusalem Post took to Facebook to write, “the Israel angle on McMaster’s purge of Trump loyalists from the National Security Council is that all of these people are pro-Israel and oppose the Iran nuclear deal, positions that Trump holds.”
Glick’s Facebook status went on to characterize McMaster as having been hostile towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and siding with “the Islamists who insist that the only reason Israel exists is European guilt over the Holocaust.”
She also wrote, of McMaster, “according to senior officials aware of his behavior, he constantly refers to Israel as the occupying power and insists falsely and constantly that a country named Palestine existed where Israel is located until 1948 when it was destroyed by the Jews.”
Further, as The Gateway Pundit points out, a number of officials removed from the National Security Council by McMaster have held strong pro-Israel, anti-radical Islamic terror stances.
The outlet further accuses McMaster of refusing “to use the term ‘Islamic terrorism’ and holding the belief that “jihadists are perverting Islam.”
Breitbart quotes a source within ZOA – America’s oldest pro-Israel group – as stating that its probe of McMaster will be “limited in scope to analysis of McMaster’s performance and positions on issues related to Israel and the scourge of radical Islamic terrorism.”
In an official statement of its own, ZOA stated that its national president Morton Klein would be issuing a full statement in relation to the investigation later this week.
